Position overview
In the role of Business Development Manager Additives you will maximize financial and strategic value and align short term needs to longer term business strategies focused on Additives market growth. You will act as a strategic relationship manager who leads, develops and executes the account and product strategy for allnex customers by focusing on market opportunities and new business leads. The aim is bringing together all Additive technologies from liquid, powder, radiation curing and crosslinkers and create growth in strategic markets.
You will be responsible for identifying and capitalizing on business opportunities, building and maintaining strong customer relationships, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve revenue and market share targets.

Responsibilities
- Driving business growth for all Coating Additives through promoting strategic products, identifying market gaps and opportunities and competitive weakness.
- Creating new business leads for Coating Additives in new markets/regions, providing combined expertise for all Additives technologies.
- Improving internal and external awareness for Coating Additives and identifying X-segment opportunities at global customers.
- Liaising with global business teams, sales functions, marketing, PLM’s and communications and building the interface for Additives business growth.
- Leading projects for new markets (high potential Additive projects).
Required skills and experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the chemical industry – preferred coating or ink technologies.
- Combined technical and commercial experience, deep understanding of chemistry, skills and experience interacting with Commercial and R&D functions.
- MBA combined with a degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Polymer Science is strongly preferred.
- Interpersonal communication skills, ability to work effectively in global, international and diverse teams.
- Strong results orientation, drive through innovation and continuous improvements.
- Strong analytical skills and conceptual thinking, good problem solving skills.
- Very good global market and competitive landscape knowledge.
- Fluent English and German skills.
