Position overview
Are you a commercially driven sales leader with a strong track record in the chemical industry? allnex is on the lookout for an an experienced and strategic Sales Manager to lead and grow our Coating Resins business in Indonesia.
In this role, you will be responsible for driving sustainable business growth, strengthening customer partnerships, and expanding market opportunities across the region. You will serve as the primary commercial contact for key customers while acting as the voice of the customer internally to support business development, innovation, and long-term success.

Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, and further develop the existing customer portfolio across Indonesia.
- Drive achievement of annual sales targets, including volume growth and margin objectives.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through market expansion, customer acquisition, and new product introductions.
- Build and execute strategic account plans aligned with regional business objectives and marketing strategies.
- Establish strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders to support long-term business partnerships.
- Lead commercial negotiations, including pricing, contracts, and business agreements in a competitive market environment.
- Monitor and manage profitability in alignment with company guidelines and commercial objectives.
- Partner closely with Marketing and Technical Service teams to support new product launches and customer development activities.
- Provide market intelligence and competitor insights to support business strategy and decision-making.
- Ensure effective management of working capital and customer payment performance.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasting, reporting, and customer activity updates.
- Proactively drive market prospecting activities to identify and convert new business opportunities.
- Uphold high standards of professionalism, accountability, and customer service excellence.
Required skills and experience
- 10 years and above of sales and commercial experience within the chemical, coatings, resins, additives, or related industry.
- Proven track record in managing key accounts and delivering sustainable business growth.
- Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to identify market opportunities and execute growth initiatives.
- Customer-oriented with strong problem-solving and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across regional and global teams.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Mandarin/Chinese language capability is considered an advantage but is not mandatory.
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new technologies, products, and market dynamics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business, or related field.
