Position overview
allnex invites you to join us as an Indirect Sourcing Specialist, based in Shanghai, China to support our operations across Greater China. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality sourcing of indirect goods and services while collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders across the organization.
You will take ownership of sourcing strategies across categories such as CAPEX, OPEX, logistics, transportation (Sea/Air/Road), and customs clearance, helping to optimize total cost of ownership while ensuring operational continuity for our production sites.

Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management
• Identify and develop reliable and competitive sources of supply for indirect goods and services across assigned production sites.
• Develop and implement category sourcing strategies aligned with regional procurement objectives.
• Lead supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management to secure the best commercial and operational outcomes.
• Establish and maintain strong supplier partnerships, acting as the primary point of contact for key suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance against agreed KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner closely with stakeholders including site management, supply chain, manufacturing, SHE, finance, and business teams to understand requirements and deliver sourcing solutions.
• Identify synergies across sites and regions to leverage procurement opportunities and efficiencies.
• Serve as the main procurement interface with local operations.
Logistics & Operational Support
• Oversee domestic logistics sourcing, including sea, air, and road transportation as well as customs clearance services.
• Ensure uninterrupted, compliant, and timely supply of goods and services required by the business.
Cost Optimization & Financial Impact
• Drive initiatives that optimize Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) across assigned categories.
• Build and manage a cost savings pipeline to achieve regional procurement targets.
• Contribute to working capital optimization programs, including OWC reduction initiatives.
Reporting & Process Excellence
• Provide clear and consistent reporting on cost developments, supplier performance, and supply risks to key stakeholders.
• Ensure standard procurement processes and policies are consistently applied.
• Support continuous improvement in procurement processes, organizational effectiveness, and operational performance.
• Act as a key user of procurement systems (SAP / Ariba).
Required skills and experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience in indirect procurement or sourcing.
- Strong experience in sourcing categories such as CAPEX, OPEX, logistics, transportation, or related services.
- Proven ability to develop sourcing strategies and negotiate complex supplier agreements.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions and cultures.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capability, balancing cost, risk, quality, and supply continuity.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong planning, prioritization, and execution capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and remote/global teams.
- Experience working with procurement systems such as SAP or Ariba is an advantage.
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken), additional languages are considered a plus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
- MBA or equivalent professional experience is considered a strong advantage.
