Position overview

At allnex, technology plays a critical role in enabling our global business and driving innovation. We are looking for an experienced and strategic leader to establish, scale, and lead our new IT Global Business Services (GBS) organization in Pune, India.

As Head of IT Global Business Services, you will be accountable for the successful execution of the full Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) lifecycle, creating a high-performing IT delivery organization that supports business functions and operations globally. You will work closely with senior leaders across IT, HR, Finance, Legal, and external partners to develop an exceptional delivery center, embed a strong allnex culture, and position the Pune GBS as a strategic capability for the future.

Responsibilities

• Lead the establishment, growth, and transition of the allnex IT Global Business Services Center in Pune.
• Build and scale a high-performing IT organization, attracting, developing, and retaining top technology talent.
• Interact with Indian government / non government agencies to setup allnex GCC aligning to IT GBS roadmap.
• Own realization of approved business case for the ITGBS.
• Manage a hybrid workforce consisting of allnex employees and strategic partner resources to ensure effective service delivery and operational excellence.
• Partner with senior stakeholders across IT, HR, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and business functions to align delivery with business priorities.
• Drive governance, performance management, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement across the GBS operation.
• Oversee operational budgets, cost optimization initiatives, vendor performance, and commercial management activities.
• Ensure compliance with information security requirements, corporate policies, regulatory obligations, and audit standards.
• Foster a culture of innovation by leveraging automation, AI, and modern IT service management practices to enhance efficiency and business value.
• Serve as the primary leadership interface with strategic service partners and executive stakeholders.
• Lead the successful transition of the GBS organization into an allnex-owned captive operation while maintaining business continuity and employee engagement.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline; MBA preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in Enterprise IT, including at least 8 years in a senior leadership role within a GBS, GCC, shared services, captive center, or similar environment.
• Proven experience building and scaling offshore delivery centers or Global Capability Centers in India.
• Strong understanding of Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) models and captive center operations.
• Proven ability to manage financials and deliver business case.
• Demonstrated success managing strategic vendor and outsourcing relationships.
• Strong financial, commercial, and operational management capabilities.
• Knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, governance, and service management frameworks.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills in a global, multicultural environment.
• Experience within manufacturing, specialty chemicals, or other global industrial organizations is an advantage.
• Strategic and entrepreneurial mindset with a strong execution focus.
• Proven ability to lead large-scale transformation programs.
• Strong people leadership and talent development capabilities.
• High level of emotional intelligence and cultural awareness.
• Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across global teams and leadership levels.
