Position overview

allnex Melaka invites you to join the Safety, Health, & Environment (SHE) team as a SHE Intern today! This internship provides hands-on exposure to environmental management, occupational safety, and regulatory compliance within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Safety & Health
    • Prepare and develop a simulation station for safety workshops and awareness programs.
    • Assist in the review and completion of HIRARC (Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control).
    • Support and complete Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) for the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP).
    • Provide support for legal compliance documentation related to safety and health regulations.
    • Review and update SHE-related procedures to ensure alignment with operational control requirements.
  • Environment
    • Organize and execute activities to improve scoring and compliance for the Scheduled Waste Store.
    • Conduct and complete reviews of environmental aspects and impact assessments.
    • Support the development and establishment of procedures in accordance with ISO 50001 (Energy Management System).
    • Perform feasibility studies on energy usage and propose improvement initiatives.
    • Manage and maintain the waste management tracking system to ensure accuracy and compliance.
    • Prepare and set up a new simulation station for environmental workshops and training.

Required skills and experience

  • Preferred internship duration of 6 months or more.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willing to be based onsite at allnex Melaka.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Process Safety/PHA, or related disciplines
