Position overview

Would you like to support our customers in their development activities and promote our innovative technologies? We're looking for someone who wants to make a valuable contribution and be part of a talented and dynamic team of industrial coating specialists. The Technical Service and Business Development Manager for the Industrial coating market is the technical point of contact for customers and distributors in his/her area of expertise. Are you able and willing to lead the technical dialogue and provide the necessary support to the sales organization and act as the technical link with customers for research and development and other support groups such as quality and logistics? Responsibilities

  • Establish a constructive relationship with sales & Implement the customer action plan providing adequate technical support on products, processes and formulations. 
  • Act as the technical point of contact for customers, key accounts, distributors and agents. Introduce the right products and make recommendations for allnex.
  • Provide training, where appropriate, in area of expertise.
  • Participate in the development of competitive intelligence with marketing and sales.
  • Provide expertise to market segmentation teams (led by marketing) and participate in segmentation strategy.
  • Coordinate laboratory activities related to specific projects, customers or products.
  • Act as product champion for new product introductions (NPI).
  • Support product launches - develop guidance formulations and sales tools, including brochures and technical data for launch packages (with marketing) to ensure successful introduction of defined products.
  • Ensure the quality of internal and external reporting and communication.

Required skills and experience

  • More than 5 years' experience in research and development or technical service in the field of industrial liquid coatings for Metal & Protective segment.
  • Bachelor's, Ing or Master's degree with a technical background.
  • Problem-solving skills with a customer-oriented mindset.
  • Good communicator, fluent in English. 
  • Available to travel approximately 30% of the time.
