Position overview

Are you familiar with running an entire plant or supervising a specific area of the manufacturing process? allnex invites you to join us as Site Manager in Wacol Queensland, Australia to ensure plant operations and administrative activities are efficient, safe, and correspond to the company's safety, health, and environment, quality, and productivity requirements. This position provides you with an excellent opportunity to responsible for ensuring that high-quality products are manufactured in the most efficient way possible with optimal use of machinery to ensure customer satisfaction, as well as communication with authorities to assure compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that efficient production and inventory management systems are in place at the site to meet the needs of customers and the overall business.
  • Oversee the responsibility for SHE, Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering.
  • Monitor a variety of site KPIs and take proactive action when deviations from target are detected.
  • On-site preparation and monitoring of capital expenditure projects.
  • Set the annual operating budgets for the site and monitor performance.
  • Encourage a site-wide culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with the Quality and Environmental Management System in accordance with ISO certifications.
  • Contribute to customer satisfaction by ensuring consistent, on-time delivery of products that meet specifications.
  • Ensure that the site is safe and free of any form of harassment or discrimination.
  • Create and implement operational and strategic plans for the site that are in line with the company's long-term goals.
  • Lead investigation of site quality and SHE incidents, with a system in place to ensure corrective actions are taken.
  • Participate in succession planning to ensure the site's continued smooth operation.
  • Execute site engineering projects and capital expenditure plans while ensuring MOC and risk assessments are completed prior to, during, and after installation.
  • Always engage and support employees.
  • Other ad hoc projects or requests as directed by senior management.

Required skills and experience

  • 10 years and above of proven manufacturing management experience is required.
  • Previous experience in production and manufacturing.
  • Prior chemical experience would be advantageous.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities and team management experience are required.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Capability to solve problems and find solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving and strategic skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or equivalent.
