Position overview

Join our team! We're currently looking for a meticulous and proactive Process Technician to join our team based in Melaka, Malaysia. In this role, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the process of resin production, ensuring that the final products meet the required specifications and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out the resins process activities (i.e. pumping, loading, setting, heating, sampling, cooling, etc) for each batch and perform process control and analysis throughout the process to ensure end products meet the required quality and specifications in accordance to Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Perform correction in reactor, thinning tank/buffer tank and other vessels to bring the resins/raw material mixture into specifications.
  • Perform trouble shooting with Senior Process Technician / Supervisor / Process Engineer to resolve process problems as and when required. E.g. discuss on process deviation, i.e. yield loss, faults in equipments and all other accessories.
  • Record down reliable and accurate production data such as viscosity, acid value, colour, appearance, machine downtime, process reaction time, dilution time, filling time, raw material consumptions, yield, extra time account and etc.
  • Check the final resin specifications, carry out sampling and analysis and confirmed the quality/specifications before sending to lab for further testing.
  • Monitor in process parameters (temperature, pressure, vessel dosing rate, weight and etc.)
  • Audit the raw material in batching area/production floor, hot room and peroxide house before the operator perform the hoisting/loading.
  • Carry out loading, sucking, drumming, change filter, standby drum, hoisting and capping. 
  • Ensure good housekeeping practice is carry out in the process lab, control room, Synthese used drum area, used raw material drum area and the production area including cooling warehouse.
  • Ensure that work carried out in accordance to Company rules and regulations, Standard Operating Procedure and Health, Safety and Environments requirements.

Required skills and experience

  • Previous experience as a Process Technician in a Chemical industry is an advantage
  • Fresh certificate holder or without but with relevant working experience are encouraged to apply
  • Able to work on rotating shift
  • Physically fit and able to wear necessary PPE
  • Ability to operate forklift and training will be provided

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Chemical Engineering is an added advantage
