Position overview

Interested in Safety, Health, and Environment in a leading industrial coating resins company? allnex is hiring a detail-oriented SHE Manager in Seremban, Malaysia. In this role, you'll lead compliance with government regulations and allnex’s SHE policies, conduct risk assessments, and be the "ambassador" of our SHE culture. Responsibilities

  • Establish long-term relationship with local governments and authorities regarding SHE regulations, work as interface between company and communities, government and authorities.
  • Maintain a current awareness of government regulations and accepted safety, health, environmental and security practice.
  • Implement Company's product stewardship and regulatory compliance programs by applying SHE knowledge.
  • Develop and execute health, environmental and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines for Seremban site and GBS office.
  • Provide guidance for manufacturing regulatory compliance and adherence to Corporate SHE policies and standards at Seremban site and GBS office.
  • Support and assist Seremban and GBS site management team to minimize SHE risks and promote employee's awareness.
  • Maintaining fire safety system as per compliance requirement
  • Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety.
  • Manage site PSM systems and ensure all Seremban site follow allnex Safety codes.
  • Responsible to lead the site WWTP biological wastewater treatment process in Seremban plant and maintain it in compliance to all local rules and regulations.
  • Lead and manage site security and ground maintenance by implement security policies, regulations, rules, and norms and ensure the environment in the organization is safe for employers, visitors and site assets.
  • Lead site ISO as a management representative (MR).
  • Provide full support to QA Manager (in technical terms) in order establish & maintaining the continuity of the QSHE MS certifications.
     

Required skills and experience

  • 5-7 years of experience in a SHE role, within the chemical manufacturing industry.
  • Experience in local and regional SHE related regulations, as well as in interaction with auditors and regulating officials. 
  • A proven track record in good performance on PSM fields.
  • In depth knowledge of chemical processing activities.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing SHE programs.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
     

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Occupational Safety & Health or equivalent recognized by the Ministry of Human Resources is a plus.
  • Relevant certificates from NIOSH/DOSH is a plus.
