Position overview
allnex is on the lookout for an experienced and commercially driven Sales Manager in South Korea to lead business growth within the coatings and specialty chemicals industry. This role will be responsible for managing strategic customer relationships, driving market expansion, and delivering sustainable revenue growth across key accounts and business segments.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in strengthening long-term customer partnerships, identifying new market opportunities, and positioning technical solutions that create business value for customers. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned commercial professional who combines strong industry knowledge with strategic sales capability and customer-focused leadership.
Responsibilities
- Drive sales growth and business development within the paint and coatings industry.
- Manage strategic customer accounts and develop long-term commercial partnerships.
- Identify new market opportunities and execute growth strategies to expand market share.
- Promote technical chemical solutions and provide consultative support to customers.
- Lead commercial negotiations, pricing discussions, and profitability management.
- Analyze sales performance, market trends, and customer insights to support business planning.
- Collaborate closely with technical, supply chain, and regional teams to ensure business success.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across customer organizations.
- Support management reporting, sales forecasting, and strategic planning activities.
- Mentor and guide junior sales team members where applicable.
Required skills and experience
- 10 years of experience within coatings, specialty chemicals, or technical sales environment.
- Strong industry network and customer management experience within paint/coatings segment preferred.
- Proven track record in driving sales growth and managing strategic accounts.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in pricing, profitability, and business planning.
- Strong strategic thinking and market development capability.
- High level of ownership, accountability, and leadership maturity.
- Ability to balance technical understanding with commercial execution.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong business growth orientation.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage complex customer relationships and independently drive business initiatives.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related discipline.
