Logistics Specialist (part-time)

Position overview

Are you a high motivated individual with interest and knowledge in logistics field? Join our team as Logistics Specialist (part-time) and you will be responsible for the day to day follow up of import and export shipments and related tasks. You will ensure the operations are smooth and in compliance as well as support Logistics Lead and handle different projects. If you are well organized person with strong customer focus, we are waiting for your application!

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, consolidate, and execute the export distribution of products when available for shipment.
  • Proactively interface and ensure effective coordination with freight forwarders, distribution centers ,air/ocean carriers, Customer Service, Planning.
  • Strive to minimize shipping cost by consolidating shipments as much as possible with minimal impact to transit times and operate with sense of urgency to ensure transit times are not negatively impacted.
  • Maintain necessary records, files and reports and ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory guidelines applicable to record keeping and training requirements.
  • Supporting the annual and the cycle inventories.
  • Comply with company health, safety and environmental policies.

Required skills and experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in Supply chain activities including customer service and/or logistics distribution processes is preferable.
  • Consistently exhibits customer focus.
  • Positive results oriented attitude that promotes teamwork with peers, business units, other support areas.
  • Effective verbal and written communication, multitasking and computer skills.
  • Strong problem solving attitude.
