Trade Compliance Specialist

Position overview

Do you have strong analytical, good communication and problem-solving skills? Join our team as Trade Compliance Specialist and you will work with the Global Trade compliance team and act as regional point of contact for stakeholders on inquiries regarding the import, export, or transfer of goods or services and trade regulatory. Your responsibilities will be to develop guidance an processes on import and export procedures for flow of goods, understand and interpret relevant import/export and excise regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure data integrity with regard to Customs documentation, product classification, country of  origin, valuation, and reporting of customs procedures.
  • Screening incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Manage origin and trade preference process: monitor the issuance of suppliers and customers declarations & make sure all necessary conditions are fulfilled.
  • Generate reports to assist compliance follow-up and metrics.
  • Assist with assessing & maintaining allnex compliance with import/export regulations, trade regulatory and other legislation requirements.
  • Assist audit process and follow-up on recommendations from audits.
  • Support projects to implement improvements and adjustments to trade-related activities.

Required skills and experience

  • Around 5 years of experience in a multinational organization, in a similar role or within logistics, with hands-on experience in import and export operations.
  • Higher education degree, preferably in law, finance, logistics, or a related field. Knowledge of trade compliance is considered an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of customs regulations and procedures, including HS classification, rules of origin, customs valuation, export control regulations, and international trade agreements.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, particularly SAP, as well as MS Office applications (especially Excel).
  • Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to effectively communicate within a global organization and with international customers.
  • Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
  • Process-oriented mindset, with the ability to manage complexity, adapt to change, and drive efficient workflows.
