Overview:
The IT Operations Delivery Manager is responsible for overseeing, aligning, and reporting on all projects and programs within IT Operations domain, covering IT Infrastructure, Public Cloud, Digital Workplace, Information Security, and Global Support.
Beyond managing the overall portfolio, you will take direct ownership of selected projects and provide guidance and coaching to product teams and project managers to ensure smooth execution and compliance to the allnex Project Management framework
Collaboration is key in this role. You will work closely with business partners and project managers across various functions to align portfolios, ensuring consistency and strategic direction. Additionally, you will partner with the IT Operations Architect and product teams to translate long-term roadmaps into actionable programs and projects.
Success in this role requires excellent communication and storytelling skills to articulate business cases, secure leadership buy-in, and engage stakeholders effectively. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable balancing strategic oversight with hands-on execution.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the IT Operations project portfolio, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic priorities. This includes budget oversight, tracking progress, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring regular, consistent reporting to stakeholders.
- Lead and coordinate selected IT projects, ensuring timely delivery, scope management, and budget adherence.
- Coach and support product teams and project managers to enhance execution and adherence to best practices.
- Ensure a standardized way of working by promoting governance, agility, methodology, and alignment to the allnex portfolio management framework.
- Collaborate with IT Operations Architects and product teams to translate roadmaps into actionable programs and projects.
- Act as a strategic liaison between IT Operations and the broader IT & Digital organization, ensuring portfolio alignment, identifying and resolving dependencies and conflicts between projects and programs.
- Support business case development and communicate value propositions effectively to key stakeholders.
- Develop, control and report on the IT Operations CAPEX budget, fostering transparency and alignment with business priorities. Participate in the budget cycles, secure necessary funding, track expenditures, and provide regular financial updates to stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in IT project and program management within a multinational manufacturing environment of similar scale.
- Strong technical knowledge in IT Infrastructure, Digital Workplace, Information Security, and Support.
- Clear understanding of the importance of both processes and people in the successful delivery of technology projects.
- Ability to work effectively in an agile organization, support product teams, and promote collaboration across functions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills, with the ability to convey ideas clearly and influence stakeholders.
- Competence in developing business cases and securing leadership approval.
- High attention to detail, adaptability, and the ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on execution.
- Experience in budget management, including CAPEX planning and financial tracking.
- Familiarity with project and service management tools such as JIRA and ServiceNow.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a structured approach and contributing to the development of best practices.
- Master’s Degree in IT or equivalent experience.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Prince2, PMBOK, SAFe, Scrum, KANBAN, ITIL) are considered an asset.
