Position overview
allnex is seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Process Innovation Engineer at the Process Innovation Lab in Rayong! This role is responsible for executing and managing Process Innovation and Process Improvement projects within the laboratory, providing comprehensive engineering support throughout. Key responsibilities include supporting laboratory projects and trials, as well as contributing to the design, development, and optimization of sustainable manufacturing processes. This involves planning, designing, purchasing, assembling, and commissioning experimental equipment for laboratory and pilot-scale projects, conducting engineering assessments for introducing new products and processes into manufacturing, and implementing in-line analytical process control methods.

Responsibilities
- Manage engineering aspects of process innovation projects and support product scale-up.
- Design and assemble lab and pilot installations, ensuring safety and compliance.
- Provide engineering support for AP region capital projects, including design, cost estimation, and commissioning.
- Conduct safety evaluations (PHA, DIERS, NFPA 30, API 520) and process hazard assessments.
- Collaborate with Engineering, EHS, and R&D teams to enhance process safety.
- Implement in-line analytical process control methods in manufacturing.
- Perform process modeling and calculations using simulation tools (Aspen, ChemCAD, Excel).
- Support production trials and optimize equipment and processes for safety, cost, and efficiency.
- Maintain lab instruments and ensure accurate calibration.
- Prepare documentation and reports in English; work within ISO standards.
Required skills and experience
- Knowledge of resin manufacturing unit operations and organic chemistry
- Experience with process simulation tools (Aspen, ChemCAD) and MS Office
- Skills in process modeling, pilot/lab design, and safety evaluation (DIERS, NFPA 30, API 520)
- Basic project management knowledge
- Strong communication, teamwork, and English proficiency
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and resilient with a high sense of responsibility
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Engineering, preferably in Chemical Process Engineering or Chemical Process Design
