Position overview

allnex invites you to join our Safety team as a Process Safety Management (PSM) Lead. This role is based in Rayong, Thailand, and we are seeking an experienced professional to drive process safety excellence across our APAC operations.

 

In this role, you will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the PSM framework, ensuring consistency, compliance, and risk reduction across multiple manufacturing sites. You will act as a key subject matter expert, partnering with regional and site leadership to embed best practices and strengthen overall process safety performance.

Responsibilities

  • Process Safety Leadership & Strategy
    • Develop, implement and continuously improve the Process Safety Management (PSM) system
    • Drive alignment with global SHE strategy, policies and standards across APAC sites
    • Provide technical leadership and direction to site SHE teams
    • Lead regional process safety improvement initiatives and programmes
  • Risk Management & Compliance
    • Lead and facilitate Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), HAZOPs and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR)
    • Conduct PSM audits, reviews and gap assessments
    • Support sites in identifying and mitigating process and mechanical risks
    • Ensure compliance with internal standards and relevant regulations
  • Performance & Continuous Improvement
    • Monitor, analyse and report process safety incidents (PSI) and near misses
    • Track key PSM metrics (e.g. PHA completion, training effectiveness)
    • Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions
    • Evaluate and optimise SHE/PSM processes for effectiveness
  • Training & Capability Building
    • Deliver PSM-related training and workshops
    • Mentor and coach site SHE personnel to build capability
    • Ensure consistency and quality in PHA methodologies across sites
    • Promote awareness and understanding of process safety best practices
  • Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
    • Partner with global, regional and site leaders to implement SHE initiatives
    • Facilitate sharing of best practices across sites
    • Support cross-functional projects and strategic risk assessments
    • Engage with external bodies and professional organisations where required

 

Required skills and experience

  • 7-10 years experience in manufacturing, including at least 3 years in a PSM or Safety, Health, Environment (SHE) leadership role
  • Proven experience implementing or supporting PSM programmes
  • Regional or multinational experience is an advantage
  • Strong knowledge of process safety methodologies (e.g. PHA, HAZOP, PSSR)
  • Understanding of chemical or mechanical plant operations
  • Experience in audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent commuinication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to lead projects, influence teams, and drive continuous improvement
  • Willing to travel across APAC for work purposes

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or equivalent); Professional Engineer certification preferred
