Position overview

Lead the evolution of enterprise infrastructure. Empower the shift to Azure. Shape a hybrid future.

Are you ready to help reshape a global enterprise’s hybrid infrastructure and cloud journey? As our Product Engineer – Hosting & Cloud, you’ll be at the forefront of our transformation, driving the migration from traditional on-premise hosting to scalable, secure, and cost-efficient Azure solutions.

You’ll work as a key player in our agile Hosting & Cloud product team, delivering reliable, high-performance hybrid infrastructure that spans 60+ global locations, including 30+ manufacturing and OT sites. From modernizing hosting foundations to implementing FinOps practices, your impact will be felt across every corner of our digital ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Cloud Migration: Own the end-to-end lifecycle of datacenter migrations to Azure—plan and coordinate cutovers, validate workloads post-migration, and ensure seamless transitions with minimal disruption.
  • Architect Scalable Landing Zones: Design and implement secure and scalable Azure landing zones, defining subscription strategies, governance models, and policy controls using tools like Azure Blueprints and Policies.
  • Drive Performance, Health & Optimization: Ensure peak performance and uptime of hybrid environments through proactive monitoring, health analysis, and capacity planning—leveraging Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and cost insights.
  • Vendor & MSP Oversight: Manage relationships with hosting and cloud service partners—review SLAs, improve vendor performance, and optimize licensing and contract structures to drive value and efficiency.
  • Support OT & Edge Infrastructure: Maintain on-site infrastructure at industrial/OT sites, supporting edge compute and hybrid network operations in alignment with IT/OT convergence and cybersecurity standards.
  • Bridge Stakeholders & Tech Teams: Be the central link between application owners, InfoSec, solution architects, and MSPs—translating needs into scalable hosting solutions and coordinating release activities.
  • Shape the Cloud Roadmap: Evaluate emerging tech (e.g., Azure Arc, AI Services), run proofs-of-concept, and embed FinOps to optimize spend and sustainability—helping to steer the future of enterprise hosting.
  • Enablement & Documentation: Produce clear documentation, training content, and operational procedures to support internal teams, drive adoption, and ensure change readiness.

Required skills and experience

  • 3–5+ years managing IaaS and PaaS services in Azure—familiarity with VMs, VNets, Azure SQL, AKS, App Services, Functions, and more.
  • Hands-on experience with ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform, and automation via Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions to streamline provisioning and updates.
  • Expertise with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics to ensure visibility and cost optimization—embedded FinOps mindset is a must.
  • Proficiency with Azure Virtual WAN, ExpressRoute, NSGs, firewalls, and integrating OT/industrial systems with modern security architectures.
  • Solid grounding in physical infrastructure, storage (SAN/NAS), backups, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and both Windows and Linux system admin.
  • Track record of managing MSP services, monitoring SLAs, and optimizing hosting cost structures through licensing, reserved instances, and usage planning.
  • Experience in agile delivery teams, sprint planning, stakeholder engagement, and translating business goals into practical technical solutions.
  • Able to translate complex cloud concepts into value-driven narratives for stakeholders and executives alike.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Technology/SystemsCloud Engineering/Infrastructure Engineering or related field.
