Position overview

allnex is looking for a skilled and motivated professional to join the GBS Finance team as a Payment Team Lead today! In this role, you will lead and manage the Payments team, ensuring timely, accurate, secure, and compliant payment operations across the region.


You will play a key role in driving process standardisation, operational excellence, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement, while collaborating closely with Treasury and cross-functional stakeholders to support business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the APAC Payments team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and high service standards
  • Oversee the timely and accurate processing and authorisation of third-party and intercompany payments (ERP and manual flows)
  • Support Treasury operations, including transaction settlement, reconciliation, and reporting
  • Drive process improvements, standardisation, and alignment with global procedures
  • Support and participate in GBS and Treasury projects (e.g. system implementations and enhancements)
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and audit requirements, while mitigating operational risks
  • Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to improve processes and resolve issues
  • Support team development, including onboarding, training, and documentation

Required skills and experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in payments, treasury, or finance operations within a corporate environment
  • Prior team leadership or supervisory experience is preferred
  • Exposure to banking environments is an added advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (experience with IT2 is an advantage)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office tools

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
