Indirect Procurement Specialist

Position overview

Are you interested in learning more about the Procurement department at a world-leading industrial coatings resins company? allnex is looking for an Indirect Procurement Specialist to join our Procurement team at our GBS office in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. You will handle tasks such as running reports and analytics, and work closely with various departments to optimize procurement strategies. This role also offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and efficiency of our procurement operations.

  • Create and update master data and price lists in SAP that are required for the buying process
  • Create Purchase Orders and follow up where required
  • Solve invoice deviations and define strategies to prevent them from happening again 
  • Work on projects to automate non-value-added tasks
  • Partner with the internal departments like Planning, Accounting, Data Management and Logistics
  • Onboard suppliers to the Ariba Network and train planners and suppliers to exchange documents electronically
  • Partner with suppliers to solve problems (eg price deviations, complaints, deliveries, …)
  • Run Procurement Reports & Analytics
  • Manage mass mailing possibilities towards suppliers 
  • Provide training to internal stakeholders on indirect procurement processes and transactions in ERP

Required skills and experience

  • Fresh Graduates are welcome
  • Proficient in English
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive and inquisitive
  • Strong understanding in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience in SAP is an added advantage


  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent
