Freight Procurement Specialist

Position overview

allnex is looking for a Freight Procurement Specialist to join our GBS Procurement team in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia! In this role, you will play a key role in managing and optimising the company's freight operations.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately manage incoming freight invoices, resolve deviations, and identify root causes to implement preventive measures.  
  • Regularly upload and update freight rates in the ERP system to ensure accurate data.  
  • Collaborate with forwarders to obtain competitive airfreight quotes.  
  • Conduct monthly reviews of fuel surcharges and update records accordingly.  
  • Act as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders, including Logistics, Carriers, Sourcing, and Accounts Payable, ensuring smooth and efficient communication.  
  • Generate freight reports and actively contribute to process automation and optimisation initiatives.

Required skills and experience

Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Fluent in English.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
Eager to learn and grow, with a strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
Comfortable working independently while also thriving in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Economics, or a related field
