Job Details

  • Wage: Starting at $18-$21/hour.
  • Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm with occasional overtime
  • Benefits: 401(k)/matching contributions, shift differential for off-shifts, vacation and health insurance (medical, dental, vision, life and disability).

Position overview

As a Warehouse Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility. Your responsibilities will include receiving, storing, and delivering materials to support production requirements. Additionally, you’ll maintain accurate paperwork for shipping transactions and adhere to safety and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

  • Must be capable of obtaining hazmat regulatory training for all modes of transportation within the first 90 days of hire.
  • Accurately receive, maintain, store, supply and deliver material to appropriate locations throughout the plant to support production requirements.
  • Properly identify, mark, and prepare materials for shipment while maintaining accurate paperwork of shipping transactions.
  • Perform any and all duties as assigned or necessary which are inherent in or part of the general scope of the job, including miscellaneous minor tasks and preventative measures to assure operating efficiency and equipment integrity.
  • As assigned or necessary, utilize any and all appropriate job-related equipment, tools, computers, devices, etc. which are needed or will assist in the performance of assigned duties.
  • Provide communications and coordination with appropriate Department and Plant personnel as necessary to assure safe and efficient operations.
  • Ensure conformance to quality standards at all times in performance of job duties.
  • Adhere to all safety and environmental standards, policies and procedures while utilizing proper safety equipment, protective devices, clothing and safe work habits and practices in performance of job duties while on company time/premises.

Required skills and experience

  • 1-3 years industrial and forklift operation experience’ in a chemical manufacturing plant is preferred. Prior experience working in a warehouse, distribution center or common carrier terminal is preferred.
  • Experience working from sales orders which require lot selection, attention to special instructions, specialized labeling and preparation of the product(s) prepared and shipped to our customers.
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to operate plant tractor (Ottawa) for making trailer and cargo tank moves is preferred.
  • SAP experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Excellent reading and comprehension skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
