Position overview
allnex invites you to join us as a Demand Planner Intern to support the APAC Demand Planning team in preparing demand forecasts, analyzing sales and forecast data, and generating business insights to support effective planning and decision-making.
The role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to demand planning, forecasting analytics, market intelligence, and regional performance reporting while working closely with Commercial, Supply Chain, Sales, and Product Management teams across APAC. You will assist in maintaining demand planning tools and dashboards, consolidating and validating customer demand forecasts, monitoring forecast performance, and identifying key demand trends and variances. The role will also provide exposure to data management and planning systems such as SAP, Odoo, Logility, and DSX.
Responsibilities
Demand Planning & Forecast Analytics
- Support the preparation and maintenance of demand forecasting tools and templates used by commercial team.
- Collect, validate, and consolidate customer demand forecasts from sales teams across multiple sub-region.
- Analyze forecast trends and compare them against historical sales performance to identify opportunities, risks, and demand patterns.
- Monitor forecast accuracy and perform root cause analysis to understand key drivers impacting forecast performance at customer, product, and regional levels.
- Prepare demand data files and templates for uploading into planning and forecasting systems.
Market Intelligence & Business Insights
- Participate in monthly demand review meetings with commercial and supply chain teams to gain insights into market developments, customer activities, and future demand expectations.
- Research industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging business opportunities to support strategic decision-making.
- Identify potential demand risks and proactively highlight areas requiring business attention.
Regional Reporting & Performance Tracking
- Develop and maintain APAC demand forecast dashboards, reports, and performance summaries.
- Prepare monthly regional and sub-regional demand review reports for management.
- Track and communicate key variances between actual sales and forecasted demand by customer, product portfolio, and market segment.
- Generate actionable insights to support sales, product management, and supply chain teams in improving forecasting quality and business performance.
Data Management & System Support
- Ensure data quality and integrity across system SAP / Odoo and software tools Logility / DSX.
- Perform data cleansing, validation, and continuous improvement activities to enhance forecasting accuracy and data reliability.
Required skills and experience
- Basic understanding of data analysis, forecasting, or business reporting.
- Good numerical and analytical skills, with an ability to identify trends, patterns, and variances in data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with spreadsheets, data tables, and basic formulas.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain data accuracy and quality.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
- Good organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple data and reporting tasks.
- Good communication skills and willingness to collaborate with stakeholders from different functions and countries.
- Ability to present data and findings in a clear and structured manner.
- Curious and willing to learn about demand planning, supply chain processes, market dynamics, and business operations.
- Experience with Power BI, SAP, Odoo, Logility, DSX, or other data/planning systems would be an advantage but is not mandatory.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- No prior professional demand planning experience is required; relevant academic projects, coursework, or extracurricular experience would be an advantage.
