Position overview
allnex is on the lookout of Production Operator in Mahad, India and to responsible for safely and efficiently executing daily manufacturing activities in a chemical production environment. This role involves operating and monitoring production equipment, handling chemical materials, maintaining accurate process records, and supporting quality and safety initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a chemical plant setting and a strong understanding of production protocols and safety practices.
Responsibilities
- Handle the storage, retrieval, mixing, and monitoring of chemical materials used in the manufacturing process.
- Operate and maintain chemical reactors and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures.
- Accurately record production data such as raw material inputs, process parameters (e.g., temperature, pressure), and output yields into the production system.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues with equipment or process deviations to minimize downtime and maintain product quality.
- Immediately report any safety incidents, equipment malfunctions, or violations to the supervisor for prompt resolution.
- Collaborate with the production and quality teams to support continuous improvement efforts and uphold product standards.
- Assist in process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency and reducing waste.
- Maintain physical fitness to meet job demands, which include lifting heavy items, standing or walking for long durations, climbing ladders, crouching, and wearing required PPE.
Required skills and experience
- 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in a chemical manufacturing or processing environment.
- Familiarity with chemical process operations, including reactor systems and safety procedures.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting equipment.
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain accurate records.
- Strong awareness of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work in physically demanding and potentially hazardous environments.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree (B.Sc.) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Additional certifications in chemical process safety or plant operations are a plus.
- Forklift or equipment operation licenses (if applicable) are advantageous.
