Position overview
Ready to explore the field of Procurement at a global leader in industrial coating resins?
Join us at allnex as an Indirect Sourcing Specialist based in Mahad (preferred) or Mumbai, India, and become a key part of our dynamic Procurement team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for sourcing and purchasing indirect materials and services (both Capex and Opex) for our operations in India. You'll collaborate closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure materials are sourced at the best Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), supporting our new plant projects and smooth daily operations. As an Indirect Sourcing Specialist, you’ll also ensure compliance with all allnex procedures and external regulations, particularly around safety, health, and quality standards.

Responsibilities
- Implement strategic sourcing for the defined project packages, or assigned Indirect categories.
- Negotiate contracts/supply agreements with suppliers, in alignment with Project Team/Business Unit/other stakeholders.
- Ensure smooth and sufficient materials/service supply to the Project/Manufacturing Site and Mumbai Lab/office, at competitive price, to meet the pre-defined quality/technical requirements.
- Implement SAP global harmonized process and other global rolled-out practice when relevant to Indirect Procurement.
- Set and deliver savings plans and continuous improvement targets.
- Monitor suppliers performance and taken correction/preventive actions whenever needed.
- Conduct supplier audits with SHE’s support to ensure qualified suppliers are selected by adhering local law regulations and allnex’s standards.
- Act as primary Indirect Procurement contact towards the local internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Develop strategic supplier relationships and strong partnerships with local functional team.
- Work closely with global/regional sourcing managers on supply strategy implementation locally.
- Ensure availability of means for clear and consistent reporting towards stakeholders regarding cost development and supply issues.
Required skills and experience
- 5 years and above of relevant working experience in indirect sourcing from engineering background or chemical industry.
- Experience in managing multiple categories, including MRO, IT, and professional services.
- Solid understanding on the industrial/chemicals indirect spend, suppliers market in local/Asia, market trends and developments.
- Strong capability of working in a cross-functional/cultural setting and within a remote network.
- Excellent negotiation skills and target minded.
- Good and quick decision maker.
- Strong prioritization with assigned tasks.
- Strategic thinker & analyze the options and risks objectively.
- Strong influencing and conflict resolution skills.
- Analytical mindset with a strong focus on cost-saving and process optimization.
- Pro-active, initiative, self-motivated and a strong team player.
- Computer skills to include SAP (preferred), Microsoft tools and multiple software programs as required.
- Fluency in English and local languages.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master Degree in Economics, Business Administration, others equivalent to Science and Engineering.
