Position overview
Are you passionate about creating a safer, healthier, and more environmentally responsible workplace? allnex invites you to join us as SHE Engineer in JiaXing, China and you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring our site’s safety, health, and environmental standards are top-notch. You’ll coordinate our SHE systems, manage safety protocols, promote occupational health, and handle regulatory affairs—all while driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
- Oversee site safety management, including establishing VSL, BBS, near-miss reporting, and incident management systems.
- Develop and implement safety production standardization, risk identification, and control processes, as well as JSA (Job Safety Analysis).
- Lead SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) training, promotion, and communication to enhance employees' EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) awareness and skills. Develop and maintain the SHE training plan and matrix.
- Maintain and implement the SHE system, including:
- Developing the annual ISO14001 and 45001 work plans for the SHE management system.
- Leading, arranging, and organizing internal audits.
- Reviewing audit findings (internal and external) and ensuring corrective actions are followed up.
- Updating SHE legal requirements.
- Conducting internal auditor and system awareness training.
- Driving continuous improvement within the SHE system.
- Assisting the Management Representative with management reviews.
- Update SHE procedures to comply with Chinese regulations and allnex SHE standards.
- Establish occupational health examination and monitoring processes. Collaborate with the Medical Advisor to enhance occupational health management, including chemical risk assessment and MERP (Medical Emergency Response Plan).
- Monitor government EHS requirements and maintain effective communication with regulatory authorities.
- Coordinate the SHE suggestion program and other employee engagement initiatives.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the manager.
Required skills and experience
- 3 - 5 years of experience in SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment).
- 3 years of hands-on experience in site safety management; lead assessor experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of chemistry, safety, and occupational health is preferred.
- Experience with regulatory frameworks such as OSHA, EPA, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
- Familiarity with manufacturing safety technology and chemical processes is an advantage.
- Experience in planning and managing projects related to SHE improvements and compliance.
- Strong communication skills to engage with various stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, management, and employees.
- Skills in investigating accidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Proficiency in analyzing safety and environmental data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to address complex safety and environmental issues.
- Ability to adapt to changing regulations and industry standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Safety Engineering, Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
- Certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Safety Engineer, or similar qualifications are often preferred.
