Position overview

Join allnex as Process Manager in the Manufacturing Team at our Jiaxing site, China, you will oversee and drive all aspects of process management. Your primary focus will be on optimizing processes, resolving issues, and implementing continuous improvement strategies. In this role, you will work to enhance capacity, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency. Your role will be critical in ensuring the seamless operation and continual advancement of our production processes, contributing to the long-term success of our organization.

 

If you have a strong background in chemical engineering and process optimization, along with excellent leadership and problem-solving skills; this role is for you! 

Responsibilities

  • Establish and lead a professional Process Engineering Department, supporting the Head of Operations in achieving company goals, including quality, cost efficiency, safety, and security.
  • Develop and enhance the organizational structure and working systems of the engineering department.
  • Improve coordination between the engineering department and other departments to drive lean manufacturing in alignment with World Class Manufacturing standards.
  • Ensure project transfer success by meeting targets for equipment efficiency, quality, lead time, and investments, thereby maximizing internal customer satisfaction.
  • Pursue continuous improvement in production processes and operational cost reduction.
  • Strengthen communication and alignment with headquarters’ technical expertise to implement in-line process improvements.
  • Lead in-line process and quality control efforts; promptly address major technical issues during production.
  • Organize a technical support team to centralize the preparation and revision of technical information, product standards, processes, and practices.
  • Standardize processes and promote innovation within the organization.
  • Manage, monitor, and control costs and schedules for assigned projects.
  • Provide weekly and monthly performance reports to management.

Required skills and experience

  • 8-10 years of experience in a chemical-related site, with additional experience being advantageous.
  • Strong awareness of quality control, product management, and financial cost management.
  • Extensive knowledge of engineering tools such as SPC, DOE, PFMEA, and SOP.
  • In-depth understanding of quality system requirements and standards, including Quality Assurance Control Plans, QC 7 tools, ISO 9001, and ISO 14000.
  • Proficiency in English language.
  • Significant experience in product transfers, new product line setups, and high-volume production.
  • Advanced data analysis and problem-solving abilities.
  • Commitment to following company guidelines while maintaining confidentiality, honesty, and integrity in all business dealings.
  • Strong training capabilities with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven project management experience, with strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Experience with Emerson Delta V system is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools and MS Project.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Process Engineering or other technical field.
