Cost Analyst Team Lead

Position overview

We are thrilled to announce the establishment of the new GBS Americas Center in Guadalajara, Mexico. This strategic move marks a significant milestone for allnex as we strengthen our presence in the Americas and scale our operations efficiently across the region.
As we embark on this exciting new chapter, we remain unwavering in our commitment to fostering a unified and collaborative culture across all our locations. The GBS Americas will serve as a hub of innovation and excellence, driving our mission to deliver superior solutions and services to our valued customers.


The Cost Analyst Team Lead will oversee communication on cost-related issues and profitability between stakeholders, manage ad-hoc cost analysis requests, and perform cost control activities at the plant/country level. They will participate in month-end closing, analyze production variances, maintain process documentation, and ensure accurate accruals. The role also involves communicating with internal teams, auditors, and local finance, supporting the transition of activities to the SSO in Riga, and updating work instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate communication on cost-related issues and profitability between stakeholders (Finance, Manufacturing, Business management).
  • Manage ad-hoc cost analysis requests and take corrective actions.
  • Perform cost control activities at plant/country level and identify improvement areas.
  • Participate in month-end closing and reporting activities.
  • Analyze production variance dimensions, report findings, and provide visibility on product costing and overhead allocations.
  • Maintain and review process documentation, and ensure relevant accruals are booked in the proper month.
  • Communicate with internal CoC team, external and internal auditors, and local finance on cost-related questions.
  • Support transition of activities from local sites to SSO in Riga and maintain and update work instructions.

Required skills and experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Finance, Analysis, Process Management, and Cross-departmental communication.
  • Previous team lead experience and experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Knowledge of MS Office, ERP systems (e.g., SAP), local and US GAAP, and experience with pivot tables.
  • Experience with digital tools and technologies to enhance data analysis and reporting capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Economics/Finance.
  • General understanding of accounting principles.
  • Fluent in English.
