Job Details

  • Salary Range: $80k to $90k. Starting wage will depend on knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm, with occasional OT and call out on off hours. 
  • Must be able to work weekends, overtime, and holidays when it’s needed.
  • Benefits: 401(k)/matching contributions, vacation, and insurance (medical, dental, vision, life and disability), annual bonus plan.

Position overview

Do you enjoy processing, organizing and implementing work to complete projects and achieve group and individual objectives? As a Process Engineer, you will be providing technical expertise and engineering knowledge on unit operations within the plant by properly accessing the process’ designs, evaluating improvements and implementing the most cost-effective solution together with the operations team to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing capability and capacity to achieve safe and optimal process and equipment utilization. If you are someone who demonstrate leadership, achieves quantifiable commercial results and provides guidance on technical matters, we would like to invite you to join us!

Responsibilities

  • Identify and implement improvements in quality, reduced cost and enhanced operations.
  • Prepare documents required for process safety and equipment operations. 
  • Develop an understanding of the control systems used within assigned area.
  • Develop and support chemical manufacturing trials and studies to prove process improvements, such as cycle time reductions, yield and quality improvements, new raw material introductions and waste minimization.
  • Prepare, test, and analyze results of developmental resins to improve existing processes, recipes, equipment, materials and product line.
  • Manage safety issues related to Product Equipment Modifications and the introduction of new products and technologies.
  • Manage consultants, vendors and contractors in the preparation of detailed engineering plans and specifications for procurement and construction of capital assets.
  • Responsible to any phone or for call-ins as needed to resolve equipment issues or assist with problems during off-hours.

Required skills and experience

  • 1-5 years of experience in an industrial or, resin/paint development or, manufacturing field.
  • Experience with Rockwell PLC system is highly desired.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree or Master Degree in Chemical Engineering or Engineering field.
