Position overview
Are you a results-driven engineer passionate about optimizing production, ensuring quality, and maintaining high standards in SHE compliance? As a Junior Production Engineer, you’ll collaborate with the Production Manager to enhance productivity, monitor equipment usage, and drive key improvements aligned with ISO standards.

Responsibilities
- Support the Production Manager in improving SHE, quality, and productivity, ensuring compliance with ISO standards and license-to-operate requirements.
- Lead Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) sessions and manage the Management of Change (MOC) process to enhance safety and compliance.
- Assist in achieving production KPIs across SHE, quality, productivity, and training.
- Work with the Production Supervisor to optimize production planning, resource use, and cost efficiency, ensuring timely delivery.
- Investigate SHE and quality incidents, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
- Act as a back-up for maintenance coordination and support investment projects as needed.
- Facilitate process improvements by liaising with Engineering and providing input for projects.
- Help maintain continuous process control and address technical, safety, or quality issues in collaboration with the supervisor.
- Identify and drive initiatives to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
- Work with the Production Improvement Manager on safe and efficient implementation of new products and processes.
- Assist in training and developing operators to enhance skills and operational excellence.
Required skills and experience
- Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
- Strong focus on enhancing SHE, quality, productivity, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Exceptional analytical abilities and a structured approach to problem-solving.
- Native-level fluency in Dutch or French, with proficiency in English.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enthusiastic, positive, with a proactive and accountable approach.
- Proven ability to manage time and resources to deliver projects on schedule, within budget, and to specifications.
- Strong team player who works well within local and cross-functional teams to achieve shared objectives.
