Position overview

As a Junior Process & Reliability Engineer you will work closely with the local manufacturing and engineering teams to implement improvement ideas and address reliability issues in our process installations. Responsibilities include identifying and implementing small-scale enhancements, improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), optimizing reactor lines, and reducing overdue action items in UL360. This role offers an opportunity to drive operational efficiency and contribute to our commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Increase the productivity of the plant through study and implementation of small improvements to  process equipment.
  • Increase the process equipment reliability through analysis of equipment failure and implementation of preventive and corrective actions.
  • Improve the Safety, Health and Environmental performance of the plant through study and implementation of preventive and corrective actions resulting from incident investigation, ergonomics assessment or risk analysis on process and ancillary equipment.
  • Implement new maintenance strategies according to condition based monitoring principles. 
  • Introduce Industry 4.0 elements (such as digitalization) within the maintenance process.
  • Ensure compliance to legal requirements and internal standards related to process equipment. 
  • Prepare SEVESO audits and coordination of the corrective actions resulting from an audit.

Required skills and experience

  • Preferably more than 1 year of experience in the Chemical, Pharmaceutical or Petrochemical industry.
  • Analytical skills to study process equipment performance, execute reliability studies and gap analysis.
  • Engineering skills to design process equipment and monitor performance.
  • Coordination and communication skills for execution of equipment improvements.
  • Dutch, French or English language skills (high level).
  • Master of Science degree in Chemical or Electromechanical engineering.
