Position overview

 
allnex is looking for a reliable team member to join us as a Warehouse Operator. In this role, you will support daily warehousing and trade shop operations, ensuring accurate handling, storage, preparation, and dispatch of customer orders. This role involves repacking, mixing, and product preparation activities, operating forklifts and equipment safely, and maintaining accurate system records in Odoo and SAP. The position requires strong teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to work across multiple warehouse functions in a small, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve customers in the Composites trade shop, providing basic product knowledge and support.
  • Complete all Point of Sale (POS) activities accurately.
  • Repack and transfer materials into required pack-size SKUs.
  • Perform pigment and gelcoat/flowcoat mixing according to customer orders.
  • Carry out slitting and cutting of products as required.
  • Accurately record all repacking, mixing, slitting, and related transactions in the operating system.
  • Follow all operational procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Build positive working relationships with team members and customers.
  • Receive and store packaged goods safely and efficiently.
  • Pick, prepare, and arrange delivery or collection of customer orders in line with branch requirements.
  • Liaise with the 3PL provider on warehouse and logistics activities.
  • Participate in stocktake and cyclic counting to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Check incoming stock and enter data into Odoo and SAP systems.
  • Coordinate with transport companies as required.
  • Operate forklifts and other machinery safely and responsibly.
  • Load and unload trucks as part of daily operations.
  • Report property or machinery defects to the Warehouse Manager and State Manager promptly.
  • Ensure stock is handled and stored in good condition.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards in the trade shop, warehouse, and yard areas.
  • Work effectively in a small team and learn other operational tasks as required.
  • Become multi-skilled across warehousing and delivery functions, taking on rotational duties as directed by the Warehouse Manager.
  • Take personal responsibility for following all company policies, supporting a safe workplace, and adhering to allnex's EEO programme.
  • Undertake other ad hoc tasks or projects as assigned by the Warehouse Manager.

Required skills and experience

  • Current and valid forklift licence.
  • Strong numerical accuracy with the ability to calculate figures quickly and correctly.
  • Able to work effectively within a small team to meet daily dispatch and operational requirements.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to learn and operate ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of Dangerous Goods handling is advantageous.

Qualifications

  • High School level Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification or experience in complying with dangerous goods regulations and hazardous materials storage is a plus
