Position overview

We are looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our innovative team at our production site in Botany, NSW. In this role, you will support the Technical Service and R&D teams by performing routine benchwork tasks, maintaining accurate experimental records, and conducting tests on polyester and vinyl ester products. You will also be involved in technical service investigation testing, providing timely technical support to customers, and working closely with team members to ensure precise and prompt results.

Responsibilities

  • Support Technical Service and Research & Development teams in day-to-day benchwork tasks
  • Maintain accurate records of experimental procedures, results, and observations
  • Perform testing and property determinations for various polyester and vinyl ester products
  • Conduct technical service investigation testing of products and provide timely technical service to customers.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate results
  • Ensure lab activities comply with ISO standards

Required skills and experience

  • Fresh graduates are welcome
  • Experience in chemical lab work, especially with polyester resin properties and applications is an added advantage
  • Ability to lift up to 20kg pail when required
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to lab protocols
  • Effective communication skills and teamwork skills
  • Industrial experience preferred, involving composites technology applications.
  • Open to future relocation to Wacol, Brisbane

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science, majoring in Chemistry
