Position overview

allnex is seeking a motivated Electrical Technician in Biên Hòa, Vietnam to support the daily maintenance and reliability of plant equipment and facilities. This role is responsible for ensuring all electrical and instrumentation systems operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime to support continuous production.

 

The successful candidate will play a key role in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to optimal plant performance, safety compliance, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day preventive maintenance to ensure electrical equipment, machinery, and instruments operate at optimal condition.
  • Conduct routine inspections and daily rounds on production floor equipment, including motors, control panels, and instrumentation systems.
  • Monitor incoming power supply and maintain standby generator systems (e.g., 650KVA), ensuring safe and stable electrical distribution.
  • Inspect earthing systems and perform earth leakage testing to maintain plant safety standards.
  • Execute corrective maintenance and repair work requested by internal departments (e.g., lab equipment, sockets, lighting installations).
  • Assist in troubleshooting activities, identifying root causes, and recommending effective technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with mechanical teams during preventive maintenance and emergency breakdown situations.
  • Prepare monthly maintenance reports detailing issues, corrective actions, and follow-up status.
  • Support CAPEX-related maintenance activities to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Recommend improvements, upgrades, or modifications to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Maintain proper housekeeping, tools management, and adherence to SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) procedures.
  • Coordinate with production, SHE personnel, and contractors when required to execute maintenance activities.
  • Carry out additional assignments as directed by the Maintenance Coordinator or Manager.

Required skills and experience

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or chemical plant environment.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems and instrumentation maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and instrumentation drawings/schematics.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting capability for electrical faults and instrument-related issues.
  • Familiarity with SHE practices and safety regulations in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong safety mindset with proactive hazard awareness.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team player across departments.
  • Basic computer literacy for reporting and maintenance documentation.

Qualifications

  • Certificate or Technical Qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Practical technical training in maintenance or industrial environments is an advantage.
