Position overview
Are you familiar with running an entire plant or supervising a specific area of the manufacturing process? We invite you to join us as Site Manager in Penrose, Auckland, New Zealand for a three-year fixed-term contract. At allnex, our Site Manager is in charge of ensuring that the manufacturing operations at the site comply with current and future legal and regulatory requirements, as well as allnex policies and procedures. This position provides you with an excellent opportunity to ensure that the site's manufacturing operations meet the current and future needs of allnex businesses in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

Responsibilities
- Ensure that efficient production and inventory management systems are in place at the site to meet the needs of customers and the overall business.
- Oversee the responsibility for SHE, Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering.
- Monitor a variety of site KPIs and take proactive action when deviations from target are detected.
- On-site preparation and monitoring of capital expenditure projects.
- Set the annual operating budgets for the site and monitor performance.
- Encourage a site-wide culture of continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with the Quality and Environmental Management System in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
- Contribute to customer satisfaction by ensuring consistent, on-time delivery of products that meet specifications.
- Ensure that the site is safe and free of any form of harassment or discrimination.
- Create and implement operational and strategic plans for the site that are in line with the company's long-term goals.
- Lead investigation of site quality and SHE incidents, with a system in place to ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Participate in succession planning to ensure the site's continued smooth operation.
- Execute site engineering projects and capital expenditure plans while ensuring MOC and risk assessments are completed prior to, during, and after installation.
- Always engage and support employees.
- Other ad hoc projects or requests as directed by senior management.
Required skills and experience
- At least 5 years of production/manufacturing management experience is required.
- Previous experience in production and manufacturing.
- Prior chemical experience would be advantageous.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership abilities and team management experience are required.
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively at all levels.
- Capability to solve problems and find solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving and strategic skills.
Qualifications
- Qualified in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
