Meet Anna Oseverova-Alenovica, Customer-to-Cash Supervisor (Riga, Latvia)
Why did you decide to join allnex?
I started at allnex as a Collections Coordinator right when my maternity leave was about to finish. Previously, I was working as a Sales manager in a relatively small company operating in gourmet and specialty food market. The job was very interesting, with a lot of challenges and important responsibilities. However, I decided to make a change. My decision to join allnex was based on the desire to work in an international and stable company which offers broader career opportunities and possibilities to develop my professional skills. The position itself wasn’t that critical for me, I just wanted to start working in a motivating work environment, which is a typical attribute at Global Business Services (GBS) centers. It is necessary sometimes to take one step backward in order to take two steps forward.
How did you get from Collections Coordinator to now a C2C team Supervisor?
During the span of 5 years, I have been promoted various times. In 2018, I was promoted to a Collections Process Lead position, which involved organizing, coordinating and improving the processes and procedures that Collection teams should follow. Later in the same year, I started to lead a Collections team of 11 people, which I truly enjoyed. allnex, in its turn, also provided intensive training for emerging leaders, which incredibly helped me understand what exact techniques and behaviors should be applied in order to lead a team successfully. Today, I am responsible for whole C2C department, which consists of 3 teams. I am happy to be where I am and I am excited to have an opportunity to reach newer and greater heights.
What helped you succeed?
Several key points that I follow:
- Continuously develop yourself, invest in yourself – new knowledge, new skills, new challenges. Don’t be afraid to go outside your comfort zone. Only there, your development starts.
- Remember that success lies in efforts. Always do your best because you just never know who’s watching and how it might turn out. Hard work always pays off!
- Never give up and compromise on your most important values.
- Get inspired – surround yourself with the people you want to learn from.
- Create positive vibes and attract positive energy in return. This technique has its own magic!
