Internship Details

  • Compensation: Starts at $17.50hr - depending on education year & experience.
  • Project Duration: Up to 12 weeks (between late May - Mid August).
  • Hours/Week: Up to 40 hours.

Position overview

Are you a student looking for an exciting internship opportunity to kick start your career in a global leading chemical company? We are looking for someone who wants to be a valued contributor and member of a talented and dynamic team. As an Engineering Intern you will be a part of our team, working to provide assistance and support in the day-to day tasks as well as gain insights and understanding of the full cycle of chemical engineering process.

Responsibilities

  • Gather information about plant equipment or operating records. Assemble data into spreadsheet or database.  
  • Conduct field verification, inspecting plant configuration to answer a specific question that relates to a safety, quality or improvement idea.
  • Update / refine / improve software tools that we use to help operate the business.  
  • Researching and organizing related maintenance projects.
  • Participate as the technical resource for the continuous improvement teams related to the assigned unit operations.
  • Taking inventory of engineering and maintenance items
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Currently in school or striving towards a career in the engineering field

Physical Requirements

  • Occasional lifting up to ten lbs.
  • Must be able to work in a climate controlled, office environment.
  • Vision must be good or corrected to normal to perform normal job duties.
  • Hearing must be good to have the ability to understand information to perform job duties.
  • Ability to read and write in English in order to process paperwork and follow up on any actions necessary.
  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Manual dexterity needed for keyboarding and other repetitive tasks.
