Position overview

Are you experienced to take on responsibility of our customers as a Sales Manager? We are looking for a seasoned professional, well-versed in the chemical industry to lead sales effort. As a Sales Manager in allnex, you will be responsible to achieve the commercial objectives for allnex’s Crosslinker Resins and Liquid Resins and Additives business within designated sales territory (Japan). In this role, you will be responsible for selling allnex products and develop plans to utilize markets to expand revenue. You will act as the primary contact with existing, new and potential customers within their region and serve as the customer advocate, the "voice of the customer.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customers with quality sales approaches and technical support in Japan.
  • Establish, develop and grow the relationship with new sales accounts, key customers, ensuring professional selling and technical support are maintained at the highest levels.
  • Assess market potential and opportunities for allnex’s products in Japan.
  • Lead, direct, motivate relevant distributors ensuring business objectives are met.
  • Provide input on relevant strategic goals for Japan to Regional Business Director, ensure allnex’s market share grows consistently as well as profitably.
  • Continuously gather competitive information and report to management.
  • Work with Technical Services & Development to prioritize, coordinate technical service to customers, ensure technical presentation/promotion on product performance and uses are carried out professionally and at the highest standards.
  • Develop and implement “key account” practices for all major customers, ensure allnex achieve preferred supplier status.  
  • Monitor competitive activity to ensure existing business is retained, and our strategies at targeted accounts continue to be appropriate.
  • Project and build a positive and professional image of allnex as a quality supplier of goods and services.  
  • Explore new market or segment according to Crosslinker and Liquid Resins Additives (LRA) STRAP.
  • Participate actively in the Business Planning Process, including recommended strategies and action plans for growth and improved performance.

Required skills and experience

  • 5 years and above of Sales experience in Chemical/Coatings industry.
  • Good understanding of the market dynamics for Japan.
  • Solid project management and time management skills.
  • Demonstrate good problem solving and negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent in customer focus.
  • Proficiency in English and Japanese speaking, in written and speaking form.

Qualifications

  • University Degree in Chemistry or related discipline.
