Position overview

allnex is having an interesting opportunity in the Sales function as a Sales Manager, based in Wuhan, China to ensure the practical implementation of strategies/tactics at the territory to meet Business Unit objectives and targets. In this role, you will act as the key person to maintain good relationship with customers and develop new business and explore adjacent market.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve company’s sales target in Central China region by implementing company strategy.
  • Provide and update sales forecast and customers opportunities in system.
  • Develop a good market knowledge of our customers including customers’ business and their needs.
  • Identify and select the windows of opportunity for allnex in the sectors such as OEM, VR, Plastic, Industrial Metal in Central China region through various means but mainly from extensive, repeated and in depth customer visits.
  • Monitor allnex’ position relative to competitors and ensure competitiveness in the market.
  • Develop and collect useful information on competitors’ products, price and pricing behavior.
  • Create and seize the windows of opportunity where competitors may lack of competence in certain time.
  • Develop Sales Strategy Formulating and Target Setting based on above Marketing information and understande allnex resources and growth needs.
  • Support Key Accounts Manager to lead and coordinate front line forces related to key accounts to build up and maintain strong and long term relationship and develop business.
  • Support Sales Director to manage the distributors’ activities in the region.
  • Initiate and control sales cost budget and implement company price strategy.
  • Ensure healthy business operation in terms of credit sales.
  • Follow company’s credit guidelines in a pro active manner and to minimize our risk but use credit to grow the business where is regarded safe. 

Required skills and experience

  • 3 years in technical or R&D experiences with 1 year commercial experience in a coating or coating resins company.  
  • Experience in coating adjacent fields is a plus.
  • Tracking record in business development and project management experience
  • Fluency in English language - both writing and speaking.

  • Proficiency in computer skills

  • Result and business oriented in order to drive change and improvement.

  • Strong team player spirit.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
  • Major in Polymer Science or Fine Chemicals is added advantage.
