SAP Functional Application Support Manager

Position overview

The SAP support manager is directly responsible for managing the queue of incidents and change requests related to allnex’ global SAP system. This system supports operations in more than 50 plants and offices in all continents. The SAP support manager can rely on a team of SAP experts within allnex and will have the opportunity to strengthen the support team across the different support centers in allnex (in Latvia and Malaysia).

Responsibilities
  • Be part of a transformation of the SAP support organization in allnex, truly ensuring global support coverage following the ongoing roll-out of our SAP-template
  • Manage the capacity of the global support team relying on both internal and external resources through service contracts
  • Coordinate the activities of the support team to ensure proper service levels to the business operations
  • Communicate and report about the status of the support queue towards the allnex organization and ensure alignment of expectations
  • Manage the queue of support tickets within a state-of-the-art service support tool
  • Analyze the queue of incidents and support tickets and propose solution approaches
Required skills and experience
  • Ambition to grow into a global function and eager to work within a diverse and multicultural context
  • Interest and basic understanding of industrial business processes and transactions to be able to communicate effectively with SAP-users across the globe
  • Relevant experience as SAP support manager or equivalent position
  • Appropriate knowledge of SAP (broad view on possibilities of the system, hands-on experience in several SAP modules)
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent communication and team management skills. Good knowledge of the English language is a must.
  • Willingness and ability to work in an international environment supporting a ‘24/5’ service model
  • Experience of working in a ‘shared services’ context is a plus
