Regulatory Compliance Specialist

Position overview

Are you interested in learning more about regulatory compliance in the world leading industrial coating resins company? allnex is seeking an experienced chemistry professional to join our dynamic, global regulatory affairs team. You will need to ensure, manage and control product regulatory compliance for allnex in the Region and to support allnex customers establishing compliance with the regulations applicable to them. You will work closely with the Global Product Regulatory Compliance team to provide all responses for product regulatory compliance inquiries received from internal and external customers for allnex products in a manner consistent with current allnex practices. You will have to assess the impact of new Regional regulations on the business and participates in or leads the implementation of these new regulations with the Regional Product Regulatory Compliance team. We are happy to share, you will have an exciting opportunity to lead project teams to develop allnex PSRA processes and systems and assists the Hazard Communication team to ensure that Hazard Communication documents used in the territory comply with regulatory specifications as determined and decided in collaboration with the HazCom team.

Responsibilities

  • Assess the compliance of allnex products with the requirements of EMEA chemicals regulation in order to answer internal and external customer inquiries
  • Prepare and submit notifications or registrations dossiers to the authorities in order to enable the compliant marketing of allnex products in the EMEA region 
  • Support all coatings BU’s by responding to internal and external customer inquiries
  • Assess the impact of new regulations for our business and give input to PSRA management
  • Lead and participate in projects for setting up new processes and tools enabling us to comply with new regulations (e.g. Eurasia REACH, Turkish REACH, UK REACH, etc.)  
  • Manage orders on regulatory hold in SAP to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Coordinate with local Plant, R&D or TS&D Product Stewards to ensure that product information  from the site within EU has been properly documented in our database by the respective Product Stewards
  • Work in cooperation with the Global Hazard Communication (HazCom) team to ensure that all required HazCom documents (e.g. MSDS, labels) for products are compliant with current the EU regulations

Required skills and experience

  • Master in Science, preferably chemistry
  • Minimum 2 years experience in chemical sector, preferably in regulatory affairs or project management
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English. Reading and speaking Russian is considered beneficial
  • Ability to organize independently, multi-task and prioritize daily work and exhibit time-management skills
  • Ability to lead projects 
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills and exhibit some ability to engage and influence peers
  • Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision
  • Possess a drive and personal initiative to keep learning and improving in the chosen field

Qualifications

  • Master in Science, preferably chemistry
