Position overview

allnex is inviting you to join us as a Process Innovation Lead in our Process Innovation Laboratory at Rayong, Thailand and this role offers an excellent opportunity to oversee the daily operations of the Process Innovation Lab and lead a team of innovators and engineers to develop, test, and implement process improvements across the organization and in close collaboration with PTT-GC Innovation Team. In this role, you will be managing projects and trials in the laboratory, develop and optimize sustainable innovative manufacturing processes (e. g. efficient next generation continuous processes).

 

The Innovation Center is a key element of the growth and sustainability ambitions of allnex and PTT-GC. In this laboratory, allnex and PTT-GC are joining forces on innovation projects, with a focus on sustainability and business adjacency.

Responsibilities

  • Introduction of new products and processes in manufacturing practice.
  • Manage the process innovation projects in the laboratory as well as support of the transfer of the new products to the production scale.
  • Organization and set-up of the new Process Innovation Laboratory and expanding of capabilities of the team.
  • Managing contacts and collaboration with PTT GC and third parties.
  • Leadership in collaboration with PTT GC.
  • Design and execution of lab trials in the Process Innovation Laboratory Rayong (incl. design and assembling of experimental installations).
  • Analysis and evaluation of trial results, elaboration of recommendations for manufacturing  as well as support of the implementation of the findings and optimized processes at production scale.
  • Collection of specific process data required for the design and scale-up of new processes.
  • Preparation of project documentation (reports, presentations, operating procedures etc., in English);
  • Provide support for manufacturing teams in preparation and supervision of production trials, evaluation and analysis of their results as well as in design, development and optimization of manufacturing equipment and unit operations.
  • Search for improvement opportunities in the manufacturing processes with focus on safety, cost, capacity, and productivity optimization and reduce energy footprint of production processes.
  • Provide technical support for specific product transfers and troubleshooting.
  • Supervise and train laboratory technicians and trainees in the Process Innovation Lab.
  • Provide consultation and guidance of internal customers.
  • Maintaining contacts and information exchange with external companies.
     

Required skills and experience

  • Proven experience in similar position.
  • Fresh graduates with similar exposure are welcomed to apply.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is a plus.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools, CAD software, and other relevant technologies.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Chemistry or Engineering (preferably organic, technical or physical chemistry or chemical process engineering).
