Position overview

We are looking for an experienced Key Account Manager to take on responsibility of our customers. Key Accountant Manager will be reporting to Liquid Resins and Additives division Sales Director. 


  • Understand in depth the Account needs, customer key buying criteria and sensitivity to changes.  Assess our competitive position (market share, cost position, technology, performance) at the Accounts communicate throughout the LRA organization.
  • Able to manage territory/customer project list [action file] so ensure commitments are met. Responsible for meeting the agreed upon budgeted sales volumes, revenues and contribution margin targets.
  • Identify and define value-creating opportunities for LRA and the related businesses taking into account all aspects of the business (existing products, new developments, volumes and prices, service levels, cost to serve, etc.).
  • Able to build internal relationships with Marketing managers, Technical Services and Development to implement plan.
  • Ability to balance empowerment of customer service while ensuring enough direct interaction with customer.
  • Prepare and/or lead negotiations (pricing, rebate, other agreements and contracts) in alignment with the BU’s Strategies.
  • Monitor and report competitive threats, propose responses and agree on tactics as appropriate. 
  • Oversee the execution, doing whatever it takes to make sure the targets are met or exceeded.
  • Expected traveling for about 40%.
  • Drive relationship building with customer at all levels of both organizations.

Required skills and experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in previous Sales roles.
  • Leadership (entrepreneurship, focus, ability to motivate).
  • Excellent business, commercial and technical expertise.
  • Strong analytical, conceptual and strategic thinking (vision, problem solving).
  • Strong execution skills (pragmatic, well organized, fast).
  • Self-starter, ability to handle several problems at once and prioritize.
  • Excellent negotiation skills, ability to positively finalize negotiations even within stressful environment.
  • Ability to get commitment and actions from people outside of span of direct control within Allnex
  • Ability to take calculated risks in order to achieve specific goals.
  • Ability to build LRA management support.
  • Good financial awareness.
  • Be customer focused and creative in approach.
  • Good linguistic skills and cultural awareness.
  • Written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Good internal and external communication skills (assume responsibility for initiating communications).
  • Ability to develop and maintain management relationships.
  • Ability to work with distributors to create focus and drive growth.
  • Able to prospect new customers and opportunities.


  • University degree in a technical or business discipline.
