Chemical Production Supervisor

Position overview

As a Production Supervisor, you will coordinate duties of production operators to ensure the safe and efficient operation of equipment. These duties include improving safety, reducing costs, improving quality, maximizing the department's effectiveness. Additionally, the supervisor will provide appropriate training and development, ensuring consistent roll out of plant policies & procedures, and maintaining open communications and positive employee relations while driving continuous improvement within your team.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and monitor all production activities within your area of focus
  • Implement manufacturing schedules and procedures, work with your team to maximize productivity
  • Analyze production records to identify problems and recommend solutions
  • Optimize production workflows, minimize disruption to manufacturing schedules
  • Minimize manufacturing cost, decrease waste output, maintain high quality standards
  • Maintain the highest standard of production line safety, including regular safety inspections 
  • Routine cleaning and regular maintenance in production lines, ensure production efficiency
  • Enforce housekeeping standards in production area
  • Collect data and enter batch information in SAP
  • Actively support engineering activities to improve the efficiency, equipment and processes
  • Cooperate closely with our maintenance team to maximize plant equipment availability
  • Manage workforce coverage including vacation and unscheduled absences

Required skills and experience

  • 3-4 years of experience with leadership in manufacturing facility.
  • Experience in manufacturing industry, chemical industry is a plus.
  • Shift Work and Weekends is required.
  • Strong safety culture drive.
  • Troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
  • Good Microsoft Office Knowledge
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Able to work under high pressure within a team environment.
  • Fluent English skills required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred or supplemented by experience.
  • Minimum - High School Diploma
