SHE Manager

Position overview

allnex is looking for a SHE & Process Manager who wants to be a valued contributor and member of a talented and dynamic team. This opportunity is based at our manufacturing facility in Penrose, Auckland. You will be a key member of the team reporting directly to the Site Manager. As the SHE & Process Safety Manager in NZ, you will be responsible for ensuring conformance with our Global SHE Policies and Procedures and compliance with current regulatory requirements including the NZ MHF Regulations. In addition, you will also undertake PSM activities in conjunction with our Global PSM Engineers.

  • Maintain and administer the New Zealand Safety Management System.
  • Lead and facilitate the Penrose Corrective Action Management System and audit findings.
  • Monitor and maintain site emergency plans as they relate to staff and neighbours.
  • Be an effective facilitator for Management of Change and improvement.
  • Coordinate and actively participate in the sites Process Hazard Assessment program
  • Develop a program to work towards ISO14001 and ISO 18000 accreditation.
  • Provide process engineering input into project work.
  • Assist in improving Process Safety Management on the site.
  • Provide support and facilitation with all staff on Safety matters.
Required skills and experience
  • Extensive knowledge & experience of SHE systems and process safety within a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to manage & motivate employees across multiple departments and functions.
  • Ability to work with other employees to drive projects and processes that target business improvement in areas of SHE.
  • Knowledge of NZ H&S Regulations including MHF Regulations.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Process Safety and/or SHE.
  • Tertiary qualification with Chemical Engineering preferable.
