Position overview

Are you interested to extend global reach through expert discovery and exploration of new and untapped business opportunities and relationships in the world leading coating resins industry? As a Sales and Development Manager role, your insight is critical to making smart decisions in the pursuit of long-term business value. You will be ideally high in skilled at sales and business operations; the interplay among strategy, relationship management, and sales ultimately fuels the company's growth path.

Responsibilities

  • Manage target segment-customer lists and opportunity pipeline.
  • Enhance and manage interactions with existing customers (direct/ indirect accounts).
  • Manage customer issues with the help of local/regional Application Specialists. 
  • Lead new business development and technical service for Additives in Americas and support regional Americas business development. 
  • Support creation of new product literature, bulletins and technical presentations for local markets.
  • Manage new Additives promotional initiatives implementation, focusing on LRA / RAD / PCR (strategic product placement and potential new developments). 
  • Manage Additives product benchmarking, development and technical support for both, internal & external partners (allnex X-BU teams, distribution partners, customers).
  • Observe local market trends, market studies and competitive situation, manage local distribution channels for Additives – ensure strategic product distribution and profitability. 
  • Create sales leads and support X BU sales forces and ensure successful sales closures. 
  • Work closely together with PLMs for all relevant updates, pricing and product mix and with local/regional/global planning, production, supply, and marketing team to ensure timely deliveries with best quality.
  • Provide monthly reports, summarizing Americas Additives business development, product development and technical support. 
  • Travel time: up to 40%.

Required skills and experience

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the chemical industry – preferred coating technologies (Auto OEM, VR, Architectural segments; SB/WB).
  • Excellent interpersonnel communication skills – internal & external
  • Strong analytical skills and conceptual thinking
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a team
  • Analyzing customer issues and supporting lab resources to come up with solutions
  • Situational leadership to manage and coordinate local X-BU and X-functional development projects
  • Continuous learner’s attitude for career development
  • Advantageous to have multi-cultural, multiple industry knowledge and experience 

Qualifications

  • BS or BA in a business or technical degree; 
  • MBA and/or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Polymer Science is preferred.
