Process Engineering Intern

Position overview

This internship opportunity gives hands-on exposure to the workings of a chemical manufacturing plant. You will be involved in the continuous efforts of our production plant in Seremban, and will be working with a team who is keen to help you learn and grow. Apply your knowledge of Chemical Engineering in this role, where you will have the opportunity to lead a project, understanding process safety, and much more. 

Responsibilities

  • Assist Process Engineer in establishing Alarm Management team for Allnex Seremban
  • Assist Process Engineer in establishing Alarm Management Philosophy for Allnex Seremban
  • Establish report of DCS Alarm Performance and Top 10 Alarm occurrence on periodically basis by retrieving data from DCS log
  • Engage with all the team members that are coming from various discipline and carry out rationalization activity on Top 10 Alarm
  • Engage with vendor or maintenance department in order to solve high Alarm occurrence either thru DCS logic modification or equipment troubleshooting
  • Assisting Process Engineer in executing 2024 Capex and Continuous Improvement Project

Required skills and experience

  • At least 6 months of availability for the internship period.
  • Tech-savvy and has basic knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, etc.
  • Curious about the chemical industry and has a genuine interest in a career in chemicals.
  • Meticulous and is comfortable with working with data.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering
